like ideology you can do a great deal of roleplaying with custom xenotypes as well as the fact it lets you have children in the colony which is, in my opinion, something the base game should have implemented. i will warn that it can get a bit tedious managing incoming pawns with different ideologies but again, if you really want that extra roleplay aspect go for it.īiotech i think is the most versatile of all these, which is why it’s the most recommended. if you’re someone who REALLY enjoys the story simulator aspect of the game, then the ability to give each group their own personal belief system is essential. if you like the idea of pursuing royal titles and psycasting and such then go for it, but i personally find myself not using it much Royalty is only worth it if you really like what it adds.
